    Guaranteed

Every project carries our guarantee — from the first phone call to the moment you stand back and admire the finished work.

Finished in our own factory.

Inspected, repaired, sanded.

Every cabinet and door is carefully inspected and any repairs made, then cleaned and sanded so the lacquer grips. Primed where the material calls for it.

Two parts, mixed at the last moment.

Two-pack lacquer is resin and hardener. They are combined just before application, which starts the chemical cure.

Sprayed on, coat after coat.

High-quality spray equipment lays an even, smooth finish with no drips or brush marks. Multiple coats build the depth of colour, each one dried before the next.

Cured hard, then checked.

A 2K finish cures hard, resisting scratches, chemicals and moisture, far beyond water-based enamels. Every piece is checked for consistency, gloss level and overall appearance.

Packed, delivered, ready to hang.

Approved pieces are carefully packaged and delivered, so they arrive in perfect condition for installation.

Exteriors and roofs

Every surface wants a different system.

A good exterior paint job lasts eight to ten years. Getting there depends on what the house is made of — and on what gets fixed before the paint goes on.

Exterior painting
  1. 01 / 04Takapuna Sand

    Plaster homes

Faults fixed before a drop of paint.

The paint system is part of what keeps a plaster home weathertight. Cracks, poor detailing, missing control joints, flashings and bad terminations are repaired by our specialist plaster team first. Colour is chosen with heat in mind, because a system that runs too hot suffers thermal fracture.

  2. 02 / 04Bush Sage

    Weatherboard

    Our speciality, old and new.

We repaint brand-new weatherboard builds and bring older weatherboard homes back. It comes down to meticulous preparation, the right products and good technique — twenty years of it.

  3. 03 / 04Pōhutukawa

    Cedar

    Washed back, stained twice.

Cedar is washed with a specialised method to lift old stain and failed coatings, then given two coats of stain for real oil penetration — UV and weather protection that suits New Zealand conditions.

  4. 04 / 04Rangitoto Basalt

    Roofs

    Inspected, treated, primed, coated.

Concrete tile, Decramastic, iron and tray roofing. Repairs first, anti-rust treatment where it is needed, every painted surface primed, then a premium coating system — adding years to the life of the roof.

Before you call

Questions we get a lot.

  • It includes a breakdown of time required, a paint and labour estimate, and a list of things you can do before we arrive to ensure the job goes as quickly and smoothly as possible.

  • A good paint job can last anywhere from 8 to 10 years. Stucco lasts a little longer, while wood expands and contracts, creating faster wear and tear on the paint surface.

  • Yes. We can set up a free paint colour consultation with a qualified colour consultant, and we consult with you on colour selection and coordination throughout the project.

  • Only the highest quality paints and preparation products — Resene, Wattyl and Dulux — chosen for the substrate and the exposure rather than for what is cheapest on the day.
